FKSA (Florida Kitesurfing Association).  One Question.... "DO you live and kite in Florida?"
If your answer is "yes" .. then you'll want to join the FKSA.   Membership is currently FREE
and is really important to help keep our sport growing with minimal restrictions.
Kiteboarding has already been banned in some areas!  Just sign up, so we
can keep you posted on important info.

Sites to learn more about the Kiteboarding.

The Kitesurfing School: A web site dedicated to beginners. "How to" subjects include:
choosing gear, tuning, light winds, safety!  I like to refer to it as...  the "Encyclopedia
of Kiteboarding".   The site is maintained by "Hung Vu", but you can call him "master"  : )
...See the site, and you'll understand why.

Kiteforum.com   Kite Forum is , as far as I know, the largest international kiteboarding
forum online.   The forum is hosted by Toby.    If you every get the chance to meet the
guy, you'll quickly understand why his site has become so succcessful.

A news group like this one "can" be a phenomenal source of information.
On the hand...  newsgroups can create confusion for beginners,
and are also loaded with Negative, Rude comments that serve no purpose.
WARNING:  Read with caution.  The people who spend their
life on these groups answering every post are NOT necessarily people to get advice from.
Remember...The best Instructors, Riders, and real experts, spend most of their time
out on the water.  You can, for sure, find excellent, usable information if you search for it.
Its amazing how much hype, and just plain BS gets posted.
Ok, it obvious that I don't love forums in general.   But, of the forums on kiteboarding,
Kiteforum.com is "THE forum" and a good place to research, and get answers.

Beginners.....  do you really want the fast track to getting on the water?
Get a trainer kite... practice....    get a professional lesson. ... and ...
ride every chance you get!

Definition:*Techno weenie: A person who spends their life analyzing, rigging, re-rigging,
shopping for the most complex and high tech gear on the market, spending endless hours
on newsgroups, expecting the latest and greatest pro gear to make them instant pros, and complaining
instead of.... spending max time on the water and pushing themselves to the next level.
(IF... this is...YOU, turn off you damn computer and get OUT THERE!)

Kiteboarding Magazine: Got your subscription? What are you waiting for ?!? A definite
must. Kiteboarding is an excellent magazine brought to you by the same people who publish
"Windsurfing" and "Wakeboarding" magazines.
